It's field trip day for summer school students! Students and staff took a short walk across the street this morning to the Tecumseh Center for the Arts for a showing of the animated film, The Bad Guys. 🎥🎞️ Right now, the popcorn is flowin' and the students are having a grain time! 🍿🍿🍿

The 2022-2023 school calendar for Tecumseh Public Schools is now available! Here are some highlights: • August 29 – First day of school for grades 1st-12th • September 2 & 5 – No School (Labor Day Weekend) • November 22-24 – No School (Thanksgiving Break) • December 19-23/26-30 – No School (Christmas Break) • March 27-31 – (Spring Break) • June 8 – Last day of school

Students at Tecumseh Acres ELC have been digging and learning this spring/summer. The garden is full of vegetables, which were planted by our students and staff. The garden isn’t just around to grow veggies, it’s a learning tool for our students.

Hey! We're looking to hire an Instructional Assistant for Tecumseh High School. Students at Tecumseh Middle School and Tecumseh High School, are you interested in becoming a teacher? During summer school this week, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students learned about the spiny softshell turtle. The turtle can be found in the River Raisin watershed. The students took what they learned and created their own turtle from clay! The spiny softshell turtle is one of the largest freshwater turtle species in North America. The turtle has a flat, leathery shell with very flexible edges. It somewhat resembles a pancake.

The first day of summer school at Tecumseh Middle School is in the books! Over the next six weeks, students taking part in the Summer Enrichment 2022 program will attend several classes, including Math, English Language Arts, STEM and Physical Education. There’s also field trips on Wednesdays!

Our Tecumseh Middle School Builders Club members are leaders in every sense of the word. The Builders Club is an organization at TMS and is student-run.

After a delay, the 2020-2021 yearbooks for Tecumseh High School have finally arrived. Students/Families: If you haven't paid and would like one, they're $45. We will accept cash or check. Please make the check out to Tecumseh High School. We are staffed at the high school. You can pick up the yearbook from 9am-2pm at the front office. This Memorial Day, we remember and honor all those who have died in service to the United States during peace and war. Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day. It began during the Civil War when citizens placed flowers on the graves of those who had been killed in battle. After World War I, it came to be observed in honor of those who had died in all U.S. wars, and its name changed to Memorial Day. Memorial Day is observed with the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, and by religious services, parades, and speeches nationwide. #MemorialDay #rememberandhonor
