Tecumseh Public Schools is happy to announce the return of Sarah Eubanks to the District. Sarah will take on the role of Director of Tecumseh Community Pool.
Sarah replaces outgoing director Sarah Zietlow.
Sarah Eubanks is no stranger to TPS. She was the pool director here in Tecumseh from 2000 to 2015. During that time, Sarah coached the Varsity and Tecumseh Middle School girls' teams and was the founder of the Tecumseh Tigersharks Swim Team.
Swimming is in Sarah’s blood. She swam across several levels, including club, high school, and college. She has numerous accolades, which include winning the National Championship in the 200m individual medley at Hope College. She was also a four-time All-American.
Swimming is Sarah’s passion, and that’s why she wanted to come back to Tecumseh.
“I live in Tecumseh, and I believe the Community Pool is a huge asset to the community,” said Eubanks. “Swimming is a life-long, healthy way of life, beginning with lessons for the youngest community members, continuing through school age, middle school, high school, and adulthood.”
Sarah’s coaching history expands beyond TPS. She has over 30 years of coaching experience in the school system, with many of her athletes attending the State Meet every year. She has also served as the Southern Michigan Swim League president, the same league the Tigersharks take part in.
Sarah has been coaching the Dundee girls and boys Varsity since 2015.
“A healthy thriving Community Pool is a place where all community members can benefit from exercise, socializing, comradery, and the development of friendships that may last a lifetime,” Eubanks said.
Sarah lives with her husband in Tecumseh, and their three children graduated from the District. Swimming is a family affair. The Eubanks’ have been members of Tecumseh Community Pool as athletes, instructors, and Tigershark coaches.
Please join us in welcoming back Sarah!
