As COVID-19 cases spike in the state and Lenawee County, Tecumseh Public School officials have made the decision to move to the remote learning model starting next week. The change will last until Monday, November 30th. The district has had some recent positive cases of COVID-19. In guidance with the Lenawee County Health Department, students or staff who have been considered close contacts have been requested to go into quarantine for 14 days.
We want to stress, there's no outbreak within the district. The positive cases are coming from outside of TPS. However, we're making these changes out of an abundance of caution in effort to protect the students and staff.
Here's the schedule of changes:
Tecumseh High School - remote learning begins Monday, November 16th
West STEAM Center - remote learning begins Tuesday, November 17th
Compass Learning Center - remote learning begins Tuesday, November 17th
North and South Early Learning Centers - remote learning begins Tuesday, November 17th
Tecumseh Virtual Academy students will not be impacted by this change.
The high school will return to the hybrid format on Monday, November 30th. All other schools, TVA not included, will resume in-person learning Monday, November 30th.
