staff spotlight

At Tecumseh Public Schools, our students thrive because of the dedicated and talented educators and staff who bring passion, creativity and care to their work each day. Through our This is Us: Staff Spotlight series, we celebrate the individuals who make TPS a special place to learn and grow.

This week, we’re spotlighting Wanice Linn, a music teacher at Sutton Early Learning Center, who brings the joy of music to our youngest learners!

Meet Wanice Linn

Music has the power to inspire, connect, and uplift, and Wanice Linn is dedicated to sharing that magic with her students at Sutton Early Learning Center. As a music teacher, she helps children find their voice, develop confidence, and express themselves in creative and meaningful ways.

What do you enjoy most about working at TPS?
"Having helpful, supportive colleagues both in my building and across the district in our amazing music department!"

What’s one thing you wish people knew about the work you do?
"Educating our youngest musicians is challenging, but extremely rewarding and important. Through music and arts education, children learn to express their thoughts and feelings in healthy, creative ways, helping them become more confident, empathetic people."

What do you enjoy in your free time?
"I love making educational videos for my YouTube channel, A Little LINN-spiration, and traveling across the United States and Europe with my husband of thirty years, Tom Linn."

Wanice, thank you for bringing music and creativity into the lives of our students! Your dedication helps build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and self-expression.

Stay tuned for more This is Us: Staff Spotlights as we continue celebrating the incredible people who make Tecumseh Public Schools such a vibrant and inspiring community.
