Three dedicated students from Tecumseh High School have completed the necessary training to become election inspectors for the upcoming presidential election on November 5th. Under the guidance of Aaron Huck, their Government teacher, and Susan Bunch, the Raisin Township Clerk, Drew Fetty, Yuri Perez, and Logan Tanner are stepping up to actively participate in the democratic process.
This opportunity not only allows the students to serve their community, but also directly connects to the Government curriculum, where they have been learning about the importance of civic responsibility, the election process, and the role of citizens in maintaining a healthy democracy.
The trio have been learning about the fundamentals of government and citizenship this semester, emphasizing the importance of hands-on experiences like this.
"It’s one thing to learn about elections in the classroom, but to participate in the process as an election inspector is a unique and powerful way for students to see democracy in action," said Mr. Huck.
As Election Day approaches, we encourage more young people to follow their example, step up, and make a difference in their communities. By taking part in such a critical function, Drew, Yuri, and Logan are proving that the future of our democracy is in capable hands.
Congratulations to these students for their hard work and commitment to civic duty. We are proud of their involvement in shaping our country’s future by ensuring that Election Day runs smoothly.
