The Tecumseh Area Little League had an unforgettable summer, highlighted by the Tecumseh 12U team’s historic win of their first-ever Michigan State Championship. Their outstanding performance earned them a spot in the Great Lakes Regional, where they proudly represented Tecumseh in late July and early August.
To celebrate their remarkable achievements, the TPS Board of Education, along with Superintendent Matt Hilton, honored the team during the September 9 Board meeting. The young athletes were also recognized by the City of Tecumseh with a proclamation, presented by Mayor Jack Baker, commending their hard work and dedication.
The Tecumseh 12U team’s journey to victory included a nail-biting 5-4 win against Richmond to secure the Michigan state title. Following this thrilling win, the team advanced to Indiana, where they competed in the Great Lakes Region tournament, further showcasing their talent and teamwork on a larger stage.
