In just one month, the City of Tecumseh will celebrate its bicentennial, marking 200 years of history and community. From July 18-21, Tecumseh will host a series of exciting events for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The celebration features a variety of activities, including music in the park, a downtown block party, a parade, various tours, and much more. The city's vibrant schedule promises something for everyone.
Tecumseh Public Schools will play a significant role in the festivities by hosting the History and Cultural Palooza at Tecumseh High School. This event will include an art show, an open mic concert in the Sculpture Garden, and several additional activities. To ensure the success of these events, the district is seeking student volunteers from THS to guide visitors, showcase district accomplishments, and engage with the community.
Interested students are encouraged to sign up for this unique volunteer opportunity.
Additionally, on Saturday, July 20, THS will host a food truck rally, culminating in a spectacular fireworks show, adding to the excitement of the bicentennial celebration.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating Tecumseh’s rich history and vibrant community spirit. Don’t miss out on this historic occasion!
