A special shout-out to several members of the District. Thank you to Joe Bundas (TMS teacher), Josh Mattison (Director of Operations), and Mary Tommelein (BOE Secretary), for graciously representing Tecumseh Public Schools during a special event before Christmas. The trio, along with other community members, took part in Bagging for a Difference at Jerry’s Market. They bagged groceries, and all the tips they received were donated to Lenawee Cares. Jerry’s Market also matched 100% of the tips! All the funds went towards the Lenawee Cares campaign for basic needs in the community. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped out!

Before Winter Break, a group of volunteer band musicians from TPS spread some Christmas cheer at The Fieldstone at Tecumseh Places. The group, led by Joe and Kellie McInchak, performed a medley of holiday tunes, engaged with residents, and presented them with lovely poinsettia plants. 🎶🌲🎁

Recently, Ape Forge took our Patterson Intermediate Learning Center 4th-grade classrooms on a fantastic journey of creativity and innovation! The Ape Forge team sparked inspiration by challenging our students to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to a shared challenge. The highlight? The students worked together to design a unique logo, showcasing their problem-solving skills and unleashing their creative expression! Ape Forge believes in empowering young minds, and our 4th graders rose to the occasion. Ape Forge is a dynamic service firm with expertise in crafting websites, eCommerce platforms, mobile apps, social media management, and print and graphic design. Kudos to all the students who embraced this creative challenge. #mobileapps #digitalinnovation #TechInnovation

What a fun night of board games at Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center! Hosted by Tecumseh Acres music teacher Jesus Sanchez, second-grade students who signed up for the game night had a blast. During the two sessions, students engaged in exciting games such as Rhino Hero, Magic Mountain, Ubongo Junior, Catch the Moon, Mole Rats in Space, and more! It was a wonderful experience, and we appreciate Mr. Sanchez for embracing this idea and turning it into a reality, especially as we approach the Winter Break. #GameNight

Congratulations to Ebey Book, an 8th-grade trombone player at Tecumseh Middle School! Ebey has earned Honorable Mention in the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District 8 Middle School Band. Her dedication and musical skills have been recognized through audition, including her performance in the prepared etude, scales, and sight-reading. This recognition not only showcases her individual musical abilities but also contributes to the overall success of the school's music program.

Tecumseh Middle School students are actively contributing to the festive spirit this holiday season. Students from Madison Weaver, Joe Northup, and Ellie Howard's classes took the initiative to craft Christmas cards for the residents of nearby assisted living facilities. A total of 185 cards were carefully designed and personalized with heartfelt holiday messages, intending to bring joy to the residents. After completing the Christmas card project, students also took advantage of their free time to enjoy a bit of karaoke singing! ☃️🎄🎅 #Christmas #christmascards2023

Next stop: the North Pole! 🎅🎄❄️ Students at Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center have finished their letters to Santa, and they're being sent to the North Pole. In the letters, students made a brief list of what they wanted for Christmas, asked the big man some questions, and some of them made sure Santa knew they'd been good this year.
