Our students are science Olympians!
This week, 3rd and 4th-grade students from Herrick Park and Patterson Intermediate Learning Centers and 5th-graders from Tecumseh Middle School competed in the Tri-County Elementary Science Olympiad.
They competed in numerous events at Siena Heights University, with our students placing very high in the competition. Our HP 4th-graders came in first and second overall, and the 3rd-graders earned the Spirit Award!
Overall, all of our Olympians did an excellent job and represented the district well.
The Elementary Science Olympiad encourages group learning by participating in team events, where students are challenged to think creatively to solve problems and answer questions.

Join us in celebrating public schools and the dedicated educators and professionals supporting students in many ways.
When we say we’re #HereForTheKids, we mean we’re here to support public education and the incredible educators and school staff who support kids in many ways. Kids thrive when their teachers, staff, and schools have the support and resources they need to be successful. Nationwide, families, educators, and community members are coming together to support public education and ensure a bright future for our kids.
