The District is making a calendar correction for Tecumseh Middle School and High School.
Tuesday, June 6th is now a HALF-DAY for 5th-12th grade students ONLY. June 7th and 8th are also half-days for these students, which is currently already reflected on the calendar.
This correction is because of the exam schedule for TMS and THS.
June 8th is a half-day for all students, and it's also the last day of school for students EXCEPT for those at Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center. HP's last day is Tuesday, June 13th.
Come check out the art show this week at Tecumseh High School!
From one end to the other, the hallway at THS is full of artwork from our students.
Check out the pics! You'll definitely want to see these pieces in person.

Some of our 8th graders have skipped high school and gone straight to college.
Well… not quite, but they recently played in the Bowling Green State University Middle School Honor Band.
Tecumseh Middle School students Kailley Davis, Andrew McInchak, and Alyssa Eder were among 350 total participants from dozens of schools to participate in the concert. The performers were nominated by their band director to be selected for this event.
Our TMS students performed with the Orange Band under the direction of Dr. Ken Thompson. Dr. Thompson is the Director of Bands at BGSU.

After years of planning, designing, fundraising, and installing, the Tecumseh High School Sculpture Garden is officially ready to welcome you!
Last fall, the amphitheater seating was installed, essentially finishing the project's final phase. Now, we want to celebrate this unique art space.
THS will host a Grand Opening Concert at the Sculpture Garden three weeks from today. The concert stars Tim Ries and Friends, the THS Jazz Band, and the THS String Quintet.
We are also fundraising for the music department, the Sculpture Garden, and the Tim Ries Family Scholarship. If you would like to donate, please click the link below. We will also have a box for cash or check donations. You’ll be able to find that at the Sculpture Garden, near the door.

Today is School Principals' Day!
Principals are some of the hardest working, yet can be one of the most underappreciated people in the education system.
Without principals, a school would not operate on a daily basis. They implement their vision through dedication and determination to provide students and teachers with a successful and positive environment.
Thank you, TPS principals!

A couple of months ago, the Art Club at Tecumseh High School held a crayon donation drive to assemble art kits with crayons and sketchbooks.
Following a massive response from the community and THS, the Art Club was fortunate enough to donate significantly to the Neighbors of Hope, Women’s & Children’s Ministry.
Thank you to everyone who donated and the students who put together these kits to brighten some children's day.

We thank our office staff at each building for their hard work and dedication to service on Administrative Professionals Day.
They professionally serve the needs of our students, families, and TPS staff.
You are the glue that holds our team together. Thank you for your service to TPS!
Sutton Early Learning Center students blew off some steam last week by engaging in some STEAM.
It was an evening filled with fun and learning!
Students and parents joined teachers for STEAM night. The event featured fun activities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.
There were incredible activity stations where students and their families could participate in.
Great job by STEM teacher Laurie Hubbard, who helped set up the event, the STEAM committee, Sutton PTO, and all the volunteers for making the night a great success!
Our new School Resource Officer is holding presentations at Tecumseh Middle School about the dangers of bullying.
Sgt. Scott Lambka from the Tecumseh Police Department has been discussing bullying and its relation to ethnic intimidation, cyberbullying, and its impact on our school system.
The goal is to educate our students on how to identify bullying, respond to it, and come together and get bullying out of our school and community.
Select 6th-grade band students from Tecumseh Middle School performed great at the Lenawee County 6th Grade Honors Band hosted by Adrian College.
This event didn't just feature our students but also TMS band director Kellie McInchak. The event was designed by Mrs. McInchak to fill the gap between beginning band and middle school-level honors bands/festivals put on by the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association (MSBOA).
Besides TPS, Britton Deerfield, Blissfield, and Sand Creek student musicians took part in the event.
Each TMS musician in the ensemble has two years of experience.
Some of our 7th and 8th grade Tecumseh Middle School band students recently participated in an honors band performance.
This select group of students participated in the Lenawee County Middle School Honors Band hosted by Madison School District. The band was under the direction of Dennis Kozian.
This is an excellent achievement as students in this group are accepted into the honors band based on teacher nomination.
No, it wasn't our high schoolers taking a college visit. It was some of our third graders from Patterson Intermediate Learning Center.
The third graders visited Adrian College today!
They learned about the opportunities of going to college, met some of the staff and students, and toured the college a little bit.
Congratulations to the Tecumseh High School Senior String Quintet. The group was nominated for the 2023 MSBOA Outstanding Ensemble Competition!
MSBOA is the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association.
The group of five nailed it, receiving the highest ratings at District and State Solo and Ensemble. Just 53 instrumental ensembles from the state were nominated, and these five were one of them.
The quintet recorded a performance and sent it to a panel of judges hoping to be selected to perform at a competition at Western Michigan University soon.
Congrats again to Redd Braun, Julia Cifaldi, Vera Denison, Madeline McRoberts, and Ruth Fults.
Last week, members from Tecumseh Choirs performed ‘Cabaret’ at Tecumseh High School.
It was a great turnout, as quite a few students took the stage and performed in front of family, friends, and classmates.
