elementary exploration day

Third graders from Tecumseh Acres Early Learning Center recently took an exciting step toward discovering their future career interests. Thanks to Elementary Explorer Day, students had the opportunity to learn about careers in law enforcement, teacher education, and auto/collision repair through hands-on experiences at the Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) TECH Center.

Elementary Explorer Day is a rotating event, with Tecumseh Acres ELC and Sutton Early Learning Center taking turns visiting the TECH Center each year. This year, it was Tecumseh Acres’ turn, and the students made the most of the opportunity.

At the TECH Center, students engaged in interactive activities that showcased the skills and knowledge required for each career path. From learning about safety and community roles in law enforcement to exploring the art of teaching and getting hands-on with auto/collision tools, students experienced a unique glimpse into the work these careers involve.

The TECH Center staff did an incredible job guiding our students through each career activity. It’s amazing to see how engaged and enthusiastic the students were about learning in a real-world environment.

Thank you to the LISD TECH Center for hosting this memorable event! Experiences like Elementary Explorer Day help spark curiosity and inspire students by showing them that their dreams for the future are within reach.
