What a fun day at Patterson Intermediate Learning Center. Students and staff getting in on the action for an old-fashioned Sock Hop! Many took part in the 1950's style, wearing costumes, taking part in hula hoop dances and more.

It was Sock Hop day at Patterson Intermediate Learning Center . Students and staff were rewinding decades for an old-fashioned 50s sock hop. During the event, students and staff busted a move before learning how to twist, jive and limbo themselves. At the end of the Sock Hop, students were treated to root beer floats!

Have you had the chance to download the Tecumseh Public Schools app? If not, it’s so easy to do. Where to find the app: • For Android: https://bit.ly/3oPn4BI • For iPhone: https://apple.co/2LU0Obu We’ve made some changes to the app. When you first load it, the ‘Home’ page features the ‘Live Feed’ and ‘Events.’ However, you know have the ability to make the app appear like the desktop version of the website. Just click ‘Menu’ and you’ll see the options bar. Click ‘Full Website’ and you’re good to go! We also want to make sure you’re aware of the ‘Push Notifications’ feature. This feature keeps you in the loop when the district pushes out information through the app. That way you will not miss any updates from the district, like brand new stories, Live Feed updates, school closures and more. For more information on the ‘Push Notifications,’ follow the steps on the attached graphic.

Just like at Herrick Park Intermediate Learning Center, students at Patterson ILC are at the anchor desk reading the 'news.' Today was the first day the anchors read the morning announcements to their classmates... and they're naturals. We may have some future journalists on our hands. The students love it, the staff loves it, and we encourage all students to take part in the announcements.

Look who is taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit Patterson and Herrick Park ILCs. Ahead of Christmas next Saturday, Santa Claus left the North Pole to squeeze in one more visit before things really start ramping up for him. Santa says he looks forward to stopping back in Tecumseh next weekend!

The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donations. The non-profit organization says they’re heading into Christmas with its lowest blood supply in more than a decade at this time of the year. That’s because of low blood donor turnout in recent months. Here’s the thing, you can help out. Usually there’s a blood drive always happening in your area. On Friday, December 10th, Tecumseh High School will be hosting one. The blood drive begins at 9am and will run until 2pm. The blood drive is open to students 17 and older as well as the public. Students who are age 16 may also donate but will need parent/guardian permission. Those forms can be found at the main office of THS. We also ask that you schedule an appointment ahead of time. Just remember, a pint of blood can save three lives! 🏫: Tecumseh High School 📍: 760 Brown Street, Tecumseh, MI 49286 ⌚: 9am-2pm To schedule an appointment ⬇ https://www.redcrossblood.org/

The Board of Education will not be holding its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, November 22th. The meeting has been moved to Monday, November 29th at 7pm. It is held in the Media Center of Tecumseh High School. With Thanksgiving next week, several members of the board would not have been present for the meeting. The move is being done to ensure quorum. A quorum is the minimum number of members that must be present to hold the BOE meeting. Thank you
