Preschool students at South ELC are celebrating National Reading Month. The main theme was pizza!
Students were read 'Crazy Pizza Day,' ate mini pizzas and took part in pizza related crafts.
Shoutout to Basil Boys for donating 60 pizza boxes for students! The boxes contained a 'Crazy Pizza Day' bingo game, instructions to make a pizza and more.
The Builders Club over at the Compass Learning Center shared some treats today with staff.
The club, which included 3 groups of students, used St. Patrick's Day to surprise some of the staff with the message 'We are so lucky to have you.'
The club passed out snacks throughout the whole school day.

The Blood Drive at Tecumseh High School is just getting underway.
The American Red Cross is celebrating the fact that March is Red Cross Month by renewing calls for needed blood, platelet and plasma donations.
A year ago, many things in the world paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the need for blood never stopped. Today, students and staff are doing their part to help out.
Blood donations are essential and the American Red Cross is urging individuals who are healthy to make an appointment to donate blood.

This Saturday, March 13th, there will be a free community event for teen girls and their female mentors and caregivers. The program runs from 10am-12pm. The event is open to 6th-12th grade girls. The virtual event is being put on by ROX (Ruling Our eXperiences) & The Center for Family Safety and Healing. The two-hour program is called 'I Matter.' It is focused on educating teens about healthy relationships, confidence and the collective strength of girls.

Everything is back to normal at North Early Learning Center. Around 8:30, the school was evacuated after smoke was found in two classrooms. Staff immediately called the fire department and they quickly arrived to assess the situation.
At 9, students and staff were allowed back into the building after the fire department determined it was safe to do so. Right now, the cause of smoke is still being investigated.
Everyone is safe and no one was hurt.
Great work by the staff to act quickly and evacuate the students in a calm manner.
Thank you to the Tecumseh Fire Department and Clinton Fire Department for their assistance.

With your help, we were able to raise $1,300 during our Remembrance Poppy donation campaign. Over the course of several weeks, many of you came to the Sculpture Garden at the high school and picked the poppy of your choice via a donation.
Your donation is going to two veterans organizations in the area. Thank you for your generosity and support in making this event a success!
FOOD SERVICE UPDATE 12/14
With K-8 students back in class, we will only be using ONE location for food pickup on Tuesday, December 15th. The pick up location is at Tecumseh High School.
Pick up time is 10:30am-12:30pm.
Pick up is at the high school's shipping and receiving dock. Please enter off of Brown Street and follow the signage for food pickup.
If you are scheduled to pick up and aren't planning to, please email tpsfoodservice@gmail.com ASAP. Don't forget, we can deliver if that works best for you.
