Due to a variety of circumstances, Tecumseh High School will be going to all virtual instruction this week. This ONLY applies to the high school; ALL other buildings will return in-person on Tuesday. These buildings are all being closely monitored and updates should be anticipated. We encourage families to have a backup plan if changes need to be made on short notice.
Here are more details:
- Tecumseh High School will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday for all classes. The building will be open at 7:15am to allow students to retrieve any needed items. Classes begin at 9:45am and all students are expected to log in, have cameras on and engage with the instruction. Lenawee Tech Center classes will meet as scheduled in-person all week and transportation will remain in place.
- THS classes will meet at the normal times, Wednesday-Friday and in-person instruction will resume on Monday, January 24th. Exams will be pushed ahead one week and the first semester will now end on Friday, January 28th. During this break from live instruction, we ask that students refrain from assembling in groups away from school.
- Home athletic events will be held as scheduled, however; “The Jungle” student section will be closed and all fans will be encouraged to spread out.
- K-8 classes will be in-person this week. The middle school semester will also be extended one week. If circumstances change, we will quickly move other buildings to a virtual setting. Please know that we will give as much advance notice as we can.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the current situation.
Thank you,
Rick Hilderley
Superintendent
